All Schools in New Delhi are Closed Because of Smog

Modi: Electricity for every Indian house
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed that every home in India will have electricity by December 2018 as he moves to shore up voter support amid doubts over his handling of the economy.

Turkey's Çelebi keen to buy Air India's ground handling unit
Turkey's Çelebi Aviation Holding has shown interest in buying state-owned Air India's ground handling operations, India's aviation secretary Rajiv Nayan Choubey said on Sept. 8.
Çelebi also provides ground handling services in India.
Çelebi has written to the ministry showing interest to bid for the Indian flag carrier's ground handing operations, Choubey told Reuters.
Amnesty Int'l chief complains after not being allowed to visit jailed Turkish colleague İdil Eser
Amnesty International Secretary General Salil Shetty on Sept. 6 was not permitted to visit the organization's Turkey director İdil Eser, who was jailed on "terrorism" charges two months ago.
During his visit to Turkey, Shetty applied for authorization to visit to Eser in Istanbul's Silivri Prison but he was not received at the prosecutor's office at the prison.
Residential Building Collapsed in Mumbai
A building collapsed in the Indian city of Mumbai. Reports Bnt.
Rescuers seek between 30 and 40 people who are supposed to be buried in the debris. The 3-storey building collapsed early this morning. Mumbai was hit by torrential rains and floods earlier this week.
