Türkiye's electric vehicle market is expanding very fast that leads to a stiff competition among companies operating charging stations at a time when consumers are becoming more environmentally conscious.

Consumers want the energy which powers their electric vehicles to be produced with clean resources such as wind and solar.

Some time ago, Tesla promised that in 2019 it will cover the whole of Europe with its supercharging charging stations to extend "from Ireland to Kiev (Ukraine), from Norway to Turkey." The expansion of Musk's company is mainly focused on Central and Western Europe, where dozens of similar facilities already exist, but it also covers the Balkans.

Turkish firm Gersan Inc. will install the world’s fastest electric vehicle charging stations, the Tesla Superchargers, the company’s sales and marketing manager Mustafa Serdar Şalcı told Anadolu Agency on Jan. 15.

Greece?s first solar-powered charging station for electric cars ensures 100 percent green energy and was recently launched by the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences. It is still in the experimental stage and is being used for training and research purposes.
