Greece sets April bid deadline for Hellenic Petroleum stake, workers to strike
Greece has set an April 3 deadline for shortlisted investors to submit binding bids for a majority stake in its biggest oil refiner, Hellenic Petroleum, two sources close to the sale said on Wednesday.
Greece and Paneuropean Oil and Industrial Holdings are jointly selling a 50.1 percent stake in Hellenic.

Internal Novartis investigation finds no trace of illicit payments, Bloomberg reports
An internal investigation by Swiss drugmaker Novartis AG has failed to find any evidence of illicit payments made by the company into the accounts of Greek state officials, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

The overall industry turnover (domestic and foreign market) increased by 4.3pct in January 2019 as compared to the same month of the previous year and by 4pct as compared to December 2018, according to data published on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

Tourism accounts for a fifth of GDP and a quarter of jobs
The tourism and travel sector in Greece grew 6.9 percent last year, a rate that was three-and-a-half times higher than the growth rate of the entire Greek economy, a survey by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has noted.
The survey illustrated that tourism accounted for 20.6 percent of the country's gross domestic product, against a global rate of just 10.4 percent.
