Infant dies after falling ill in parked car
A 3-month-old baby died in a parking lot on the national highway connecting Lamia to Athens early on Friday morning.
According to local news reports, the infant was in the car with its young Ukrainian parents and its 3-year-old brother.
The family was heading to Athens and stopped at the parking lot outside Lamia to catch some sleep in their car.

New app decodes babies' crying for new parents
An innovative application developed at Thessaloniki's Aristotle University, which "decodes" the crying of babies to help inexperienced parents, will be presented at the World Finals of Microsoft's Imagine Cup 2018 competition, to be held at the end of July in Seattle, USA.

Young mother who killed newborn remanded
The 19-year-old woman who confessed to killing her newborn infant in Petroupoli, northwestern Athens, in February has been incarcerated pending trial, following a court decision on Tuesday.
The woman and her 54-year-old mother, who has also been remanded, were arrested last week.
The 19-year-old said it was an unwanted pregnancy.

Mother, grandmother admit to baby's murder
A 19-year-old and her 54-year-old mother were arrested on Monday for the murder of a baby that was found in a street dumpster in the Athens district of Petroupoli in February.
The two women have reportedly confessed to the crime, while the 19-year-old mother of the infant said it was an unwanted pregnancy.
