129 New Cases of Omicron were Identified in Bulgaria

129 cases of the viral variant Omicron of SARS-CoV-2 have been identified in Bulgaria after cell genomic sequencing performed by the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases.

Two-thirds of people recently infected with Omicron say they have had COVID-19 before. This establishes the large and ongoing "React" study among coronavirus-tested volunteers in England.
Over 55% of Sequenced Samples in Bulgaria are from Omicron
234 clinical samples of coronavirus were analyzed by sequencing at the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases. Clinical samples were taken from patients with COVID-19 in the period 03-13.01.2022.

According to Dr Sekler, it can be noticed that "the virus has crossed two thirds of the way and that everything is on the right track for now".
Sekler told RTS that the winter period is generally the season of respiratory diseases, and he estimated that children should go to kindergartens and schools.
WHO: Europe is Probably on the Verge of an End to the Pandemic
