EODY: 43 COVID-19 deaths, under 7,000 new infections, 196 reinfections, 284 intubated
Epidemiological data released today indicate that the COVID-19 epidemic in Greece is winding down at a steady pace.
The National Public Health Organisation announced the death of 43 COVID-19 patients and 6,755 infections confirmed in the last 24 hours.
Coronavirus figures continue to decline
Ljubljana – A total of 457 new coronavirus infections were confirmed in Slovenia on Monday, which is in line with the steady decline in cases seen in recent weeks. Four people died, while the number of patients in intensive care due to Covid-19 remains unchanged at 17.

Coronavirus infection figures down 28% week-on-week
Ljubljana – The coronavirus epidemic in Slovenia is on a continued decline, as 561 new cases reported for Saturday, down 28% on the week before, and hospital numbers dropping. Hospitalisations are meanwhile up slightly, and one person with a confirmed coronavirus infection died, the latest data shows.

At the same time, they called on the population to defend their city because the number of new cases exceeds 25.000.
The city police announced the restrictions that are in force for the majority of 25 million inhabitants and called on them to "fight the epidemic with one heart and work together for an early victory," Reuters reports.
Pandemic not over, but risks reduced: Experts
The coronavirus pandemic is not totally over, but risks of infections and deaths have reduced, a prominent Turkish physician said on April 12.
"The pandemic is not over yet. But we are at the end of the tunnel," said Tevfik Özlü, a professor from the Health Ministry's Coronavirus Science Board.

It is unclear why the recommendation grew into a "leave" command
The State Department said on Friday that non-priority staff could leave the consulate voluntarily, but it is not known why the recommendation turned into an order on Monday, Reuters reports.

Covid cases and hospitalisations keep falling
Ljubljana – The Covid-19 epidemic keeps subsiding in Slovenia with both new infections and patients in need of hospital treatment decreasing on Monday. Cases were down by nearly a fourth week-on-week to 3,400 but six more people died, Health Ministry data shows. This morning a total of 169 patients were treated for Covid-19 in hospitals, including 26 in intensive care.

Over two-month low in Covid cases confirmed on Sunday
Ljubljana – A total of 656 coronavirus test samples returned positive in Slovenia on Sunday for the lowest daily figure since mid-December after another two-month low in coronavirus cases was confirmed the day before, show fresh official data.
