IOBE sees growth at 2.4% in 2024
Greece will see an annual growth of around 2.4% in real terms in 2024 and an unemployment rate of around 10.5%, according to the assessment of the Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research (IOBE) and its quarterly report (4/2023) presented in an online press conference on Thursday.

Bulgarian Telecom Companies Announce Price Hike in Response to Inflation
Bulgarian telecommunications companies are set to implement price increases this year, citing the impact of inflation. This follows a similar adjustment in February 2020. While Vivacom and A1 have confirmed the upcoming indexation, Yettel has chosen not to comment at this time.
IMF issues warning on savings, investments
The International Monetary Fund revised slightly higher its forecast for Greek growth this year, from 2% in the initial estimates of the so-called Article IV mission last November, to 2.1% on Wednesday, in the final approval by its Executive Board. On the contrary, for 2023 it lowered its estimate, from 2.5% to 2.3%.

Serbian November average net monthly wage at 89,956 dinars
BELGRADE - The Serbian average net monthly wage in November was 89,956 dinars, according to figures released by the national statistical office RZS.
The average gross wage was 123,971 dinars.
Average gross and net wages between January and November were up by 15.0 pct y-o-y in nominal terms and by 2.0 pct y-o-y in real terms.
Türkiye’s Central Bank increases benchmark interest rate to 45 percent
The Central Bank of Türkiye has hiked its key interest rate by another 250 basis points to 45 percent, also signaling an end to its aggressive tightening cycle.
Salary is not enough for most
The monthly income is sufficient for just 19 days for around 61% of households in Greece, as price hikes in basic goods and services eat away at incomes for the third year in a row, while inflation has been at much larger levels than any salary increase in recent times.

ECB to signal no rush to cut interest rates
European Central Bank (ECB) policymakers are expected to keep interest rates steady on Jan. 25 and signal they are in no hurry to start slashing borrowing costs despite progress against inflation.
