The consumer price index in November 2019 was 100.5% compared to October 2019, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.5%, the National Statistical Institute said in a press release. The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (November 2019 compared to December 2018) has been 3.1%, and the annual inflation in November 2019 was 3.0% compared to November 2018.

This year's economic growth will not exceed 4 percent by much, said Prime Minister Ludovic Orban on Monday, drawing attention to the fact that this way the 5.5 percent increase anticipated by the Social Democratic Party (PSD) government is ruled out.

The consumer price index in October 2019 compared to September 2019 was 100.8%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.8%. The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (October 2019 compared to December 2018) has been 2.5% and the annual inflation in October 2019 compared to October 2018 was 2.4%.

Romania's annual inflation rate slightly decreased to 3.4 percent in October 2019, from 3.5 percent in September, in the context of food stuff prices increasing 4.16 percent and those of non-food goods by 2.57 percent, while the price of services recorded an advance of 4.14 percent, according to the data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) on Tuesday.

In October 2019, the total consumer confidence indicator increases by 1.1 percentage points in comparison with July, as for the urban population the increase is 1.0 percentage point and for the rural population - 1.6 percentage points, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) reported in a consumer survey.

The average net nominal wage stood at 3,082 lei (rd 648 euro) in September this year, up from the previous month by 38 lei (1.2pct) and the highest values were registered in information technology services activities (including activities of IT service activities) - 7,108 lei, according to data published on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

Turkey's Central Bank on Oct. 31 cut the year-end inflation projection for 2019.

CFA Romania analysts estimate a depreciation of the (national currency) leu in the coming months, an average inflation rate of 3.82 percent in October 2020 and an increase in Romania's risk premium.

End-year inflation expectations in Turkey eased to 12.69 percent in October from 13.96 in the previous month, according to the Central Bank's regular Expectations Survey, released on Oct. 18.

A draft budget for 2020 has been prepared in line with the 5 percent economic growth and 8.5 percent inflation targets set out in the government's New Economy Program, Naci Ağbal, the head of the Strategy and Budget Directorate, has said.
