NSI: Average Annual Inflation Rate at 2,3% for September 2018 to September 2019

The National Statistics Institute on October 15 reported an increase in the prices of food and some services as at the end of September on an annual basis. On a monthly, there is a reduction.

The average annual inflation rate for the period is at 2.3%. This shows how much the Consumer Price Index has grown from September 2018 to September 2019.

Record Inflation in Venezuela

Venezuela's inflation rate was 3320 percent from January to September this year. The data was announced last night by National Assembly (single chamber parliament) Finance Committee member Alfonso Marquina. 

The country's legislature is controlled by the opposition, TASS reported.

Vasilescu (BNR): Inflation strikes without taking into acccount what Gov't says

Romania is facing an inflation twice as high as the level considered optimal for this indicator, and this does not depend on the authorities' statements, Adrian Vasilescu, strategy consultant with the National Bank of Romania (BNR) told a profile conference on Wednesday. "Inflation strikes without taking into account what the Government says, what the companies say, what the population wants.

"As early as of December, the average salary will amount to 500 euros"

He said in an interview for daily "Blic" that the increase in the public sector would follow from the November salary, which is paid in December.
"Talks with the IMF are currently underway, and we are encouraged by a budget surplus of RSD 46.6 billion in August," Mali said.

INS: Annual rate of inflation down to 3.9 pct in August, foodstuff prices up 5 pct

The annual rate of inflation went down to 3.9 pct in August this year, from 4.1 pct in July, given that non-food item prices went up 2.98 pct, foodstuff prices increased 5.02 pct and the prices of services registered an advance of 4.23 pct, according to data published on Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

Prices in Greece decline in August

Greece's consumer price index returned to negative territory in August as data for the month released on Tuesday by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) showed a deflation rate of 0.2 percent compared to a year earlier.
The European Union-harmonized index showed a marginal increase of 0.1 percent, down from a 0.4 percent rate in July.
