Private universities: A case for skepticism
Since I work at a private, not-for-profit university in the USA, one would expect me to be in favor of such institutions for Greece. While I do believe that not-for-profit private higher education is indeed fine, I am not sure if this model will work in Greece.

Gov't adopts conclusion on 5.5 pct wage increases from September
BELGRADE - The Serbian government adopted on Monday a Conclusion on Amendments to Conclusions on Determining the Base Amounts for Calculation and Disbursement of Wages starting from September 2023, under which the base amount will be increased by 5.5 pct for employees in several fields, sectors and institutions.
Challenge for new universities
The idea of opening up Greece's tertiary education through transnational agreements is very ambitious and significant for the extroversion of higher education. It must succeed.
That is why the rules that will be adopted must be clear and guarantee the credibility and oversight of private institutions, both over the terms of their establishment and operation and student admissions.

Impressions and answers
When political parties use a serious case that affects the institutions to serve expediencies it often diminishes its importance.
This is especially the case during a pre-election period when the Greek people want to avoid further turmoil for the country and still remember how the institutions were trampled upon in the very recent past.
