Bulgaria: 1-2 Months will be Needed to Clear the Damage from the Floods, Years to Restore the Villages
"6 are the most affected settlements by the floods. 5 are in the municipality of Karlovo and Trilistnik. There is access to every village, there is still no drinking water, electricity has already been restored everywhere". This is what Chief Commissioner Nikolay Nikolov - Director of the DG "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" said on BNT.
Gross insurance premiums up 2.5% to EUR 2.5bn in 2021
Ljubljana – The Slovenian insurance industry’s total gross premiums written in 2021 reached almost EUR 2.5 billion, up 2.5% over 2020, Statistics Office figures show. As much as EUR 1.9 billion came from physical persons and the remaining EUR 515 million from legal persons.
Insurer Sava reports lower half-year profit on flat revenue
Ljubljana – The insurance group Sava saw its half-year net profit reduced by a third year-on-year to EUR 28.9 million as operating revenue remained level at EUR 364.2 million. The company said the drop was mainly due the frequency of vehicle insurance claims returning to pre-pandemic levels.

Firms’ FX assets rose in March
The Central Bank data on the foreign exchange assets and liabilities of non-financial companies showed that those firms' assets increased by $349 million, while their liabilities decreased by $5.9 billion in April from March.
Accordingly, the net foreign exchange deficit was $105 billion indicating a decrease of $6.3 billion from March.

ZZZS director worried about long-term coverage of expenses
