Extension mulled for enterprises to apply for support
The Finance Ministry is considering extending the deadline for application submissions by companies wishing to receive a part of the state support totaling 1 billion euros, as well as to expand the program by another 1 billion euros.

Bulgarian Red Cross Raising Funds over Hitrino Train Disaster
The Bulgarian Red Cross has launched a fundraising campaign to help people affected by Saturday's tragic incident in the northeastern village of Hitrino.
Seven people died and twenty-nine were injured after a dozen tanks loaded with propylene and liquefied petroleum gas derailed from a cargo train and one of them exploded in the center of Hitrino.
Call for help: 28-year-old suffering from rare form of cancer
A 28-year-old girl has been recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer close to her heart and has to be transferred to Boston, U.S so as to undergo a specialized surgery.

Few respond to safe account call
Only a small number of citizens have responded to a call by the Finance Ministry to designate a bank account where deposits up to 1,500 euros cannot be confiscated against arrears to the state.
