Brammertz: ICTY's OTP will not appeal Trial Chamber decision

BELGRADE - Chief prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Serge Brammertz has said that the ICTY Office of the Prosecutor (OTP) will not appeal a Trial Chamber decision to grant provisional release to Serbian Radical Party (SRS) leader Vojislav Seselj.

Brammertz to arrive in Belgrade

THE HAGUE/BELGRADE - International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz will be in Belgrade from Monday to Wednesday preparing his next report to the UN Security Council.

Brammertz will meet Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic during his visit and discuss Serbia's cooperation with the ICTY, the tribunal said in a statement.

SARAJEVO - Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Serge Brammertz has said that the verditc in Seselj's case cannot be expected before the end of 2015.

Unfortunately, it is a fact that there is no verdict 10 years into the case, he told TV N1, adding that he hoped it would be delivered as soon as possible.
