Int’l funds ‘will be at your doorstep on May 15’

The Istanbul Finance Center (IFC) is an important project for the Turkish economy that will allow international funds to flow into the country, Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum has stated.

"The Istanbul Finance Center project will have a very important place in the future of the Turkish economy," Kurum said at a news conference at the IFC.

World Bank provided $1.5 bln in financing to Turkey

The World Bank said on July 15 that it extended financing worth $1.5 billion for five critical development projects during Fiscal Year 2021. 

Recalling that the country fought the impacts of COVID-19, the bank said the financial support contributed to the implementation of Turkey's 11th National Development Plan as laid out in the Bank's Country Partnership Framework.

IFC invests in RBRO green bonds to promote climate finance in Romania

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, is investing RON 293.5 million (the equivalent of approximately $72 million) in RON-denominated senior non-preferred bonds placed by Raiffeisen Bank SA (RBRO), IFC said in a statement on Monday.

World Bank extends program with Turkey

The World Bank Group's Board of Executive Directors has decided to extend the current partnership program by two years to align with Turkey's 11th Development Program for the 2019-2023 period and its New Economic Program which sets out the longer-term structural reforms to be pursued to address the country's development challenges.
