Greek PM threatens veto over Libya as Haftar visits Athens

Expressing his dismay that Greece was not invited to attend Sunday's Berlin Conference on Libya, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis vowed on Thursday to veto any solution on the North African country if the maritime border deal between the Tripoli-based government with Turkey is not scrapped.

Eurobarometer: Over Half of EU Passengers are Unaware of their Rights

The European Commission today released the results of a Eurobarometer survey on passenger rights in the European Union (EU). According to the survey, 43% of EU citizens who have travelled by air, long-distance rail, coach, ship or ferry in the previous 12 months ('travellers') know that the EU has put in place rights for passengers.

Islands on same footing as mainland, US envoy says

Inhabited islands, such as Crete, are on the same footing as mainland coastline in the delineation of marine zones, US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt said Monday in response to questions from reporters about the recent maritime border agreement between Libya and Turkey that ignores the presense of the Greek island.
