Zelensky called on the EU to stop Russian state media in Europe
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on the European Union to ban all Russian state television channels from its territory in order to limit the Russian propaganda that Europeans are exposed to.
Russia has already significantly reduced gas exports via the pipeline
Russian energy giant Gazprom cut off its gas supplies to Germany via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline for maintenance work on Wednesday, further raising tensions on an already taut electricity market.
Entsog, the operator of the pipeline, announced that gas deliveries had been halted shortly before 0600 GMT.
The news was confirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
IAEA director Rafael Grossi announced that a team of experts, which he personally leads, arrived in Kyiv on Monday evening, on their way to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine, where they are scheduled to conduct an inspection from Wednesday to Saturday, the Guardian reports.
