The refugees who apply for aid from Bulgaria, will be settled across the country and will get free housing, language and professional training for a year, reports Sega daily. 

The municipalities who accept refugees will receive additional state financing. This is provided for in the draft Strategy for integration of persons who received international protection. 

Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Friday hailed the signing by the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia of the Association Agreements with the European Union.

Bulgarian State Railways Holding will provide free transport for all volunteers involved in the cleaning of the flooded areas in the town of Dobrich, Friday.

Athens hotels took the European lead in the growth of their occupancy rates and average revenues per available room last month, according to a British survey seen by Kathimerini.

In a move that is expected to ease immigration pressure on Greece’s eastern border, the Turkish Parliament on Thursday ratified a readmission agreement with the European Union.

Under the deal, which was signed by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in Brussels in December, Turkey will have to take back immigrants who enter the bloc illegally via Turkey.

The European Court of Human Rights on Thursday ordered Greece to pay 6,500 euros in compensation each to two applicants who lodged a complaint regarding the conditions of their detention prior to expulsion from the country.
