Financial position of households keeps improving

Ljubljana – The financial position of Slovenian households continues to improve as their assets had increased more than debt until the end of the third quarter of 2020. The surplus of assets over debt stood at EUR 45.2 billion, a rise by EUR 3.9 billion at the annual level, the central bank’s report shows.

"Net FX reserves at highest month-end level since 2000"

The central bank announced this on Tuesday.

"This level of FX reserves covered 190 percent of money supply (M1) or around six months'' worth of the country's imports of goods and services (almost twice the level prescribed by the standard on the adequate level of coverage of the imports of goods and services by FX reserves)," a press release said, adding:

FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT IN SLOVENIA

The increase in inward FDI in Slovenia was mostly attributable to transactions (EUR 1,139.5m), and less to other changes (EUR 198.2m). The largest inflows in 2016 were in the form of equity transactions, which amounted to EUR 938.1m. The largest factors in the increase were foreign investment in financial and insurance activities and in manufacturing (EUR 643.1m).

Bulgaria's Government Debt to GDP Ratio Unchanged from July, at 28.4%

In August 2015 the debt-to-GDP ratio remained unchanged from July, at 28.4%, according to the Government Debt Monthly Bulletin of Bulgaria's Finance Ministry.

In absolute terms the government debt stood at EUR 12.154 B, down by EUR 2.3 M.

In August 2015, the government debt amounted to EUR 7.892 B, down by EUR 1.5 M from July.

Forex reserves, down 505 million euros in April; BNR reimburses 248 million euros to IMF

The National Bank of Romania's (BNR) foreign exchange reserves on April 30, 2015, stood at 30.094 billion euros, down by 505 million euros, from 30.599 billion euros on March 31, 2015, as shown by the data BNR released on Monday.
