Team Romania competing in the 16th edition of the International Geography Olympiad, which took place in Hong Kong, China, July 30 - August 5, has won four medals - one gold, two silver and one bronze, according to the Ministry of National Education (MEN).
The Romanian girls' mathematics team won one gold medal, two silver medals and one bronze medal at the 8th edition of the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO), which takes place in Kiev, between 7 and 13 April, a release of the National Education Ministry (MEN) sent to AGERPRES on Friday informs.

Bulgaria ranks fifth in the all-time medal tally of the International Olympiad in Informatics, the coach of the national informatics team, Emil Kelevedzhiev, said in an interview for Focus Radio. Serbia's team of high school students has won four bronze medals at the International Olympiad in Informatics held in Tehran.
According to the Mathematical Society of Serbia, the medals were won by Filip Vesovic, Momcilo Topalovic, and Vladimir Milenkovic from Belgrade's Mathematical High School, and Dusan Zivanovic from the Svetozar Markovic Gymnasium in Nis.
