Exports and imports decline in March: Trade Ministry
Türkiye's exports fell by 4.1 percent to $22.6 billion, while the annual decline in imports was 5.7 percent to $30.1 billion in March, data from the Trade Ministry has shown.
Consequently, the country's foreign trade deficit came in at $7.5 billion last month, shrinking by 10.3 percent from March 2023.
Türkiye aims for $1 billion in food exports to Japan
The Turkish food industry aims to increase its exports to the large Japanese market to $1 billion in the medium term.

Export climate index rises for second month
The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce's (İSO) export climate index increased for a second month in a row in February.
The index measures the business conditions in key export markets of the Turkish manufacturing sector with any figure above the 50 no-change mark signaling an improvement in the export climate.

Foreign trade deficit continues to shrink in February
Türkiye's foreign trade deficit continued to decline in February, the preliminary data from the Trade Ministry have shown.
The country's foreign trade deficit declined by 42.3 percent last month to $7 billion, after shrinking more than 56 percent in January to $6.2 billion.
Export climate index climbs above 50 mark
The Istanbul Chamber of Industry (İSO) Türkiye Manufacturing Export Climate Index posted above the 50 no-change mark for the first time in six months in January.
At 50.6, the index was up from 49.7 in December, but signaled only a modest improvement in demand conditions overall, the chamber said in a statement.

Exports from 45 provinces rise in January
Exports from 45 of Türkiye's 81 provinces increased in January compared to the same month of the previous year, the Trade Ministry has said.

Exports rise nearly 4 pct to $20 billion in January
Türkiye's exports increased by 3.6 percent in January from a year ago to more than $20 billion, the data from the Trade Ministry have shown.
Imports were down 22 percent compared to the first month of last year to $26.2 billion.
The country's foreign trade deficit shrank 56.8 percent year-on-year to $6.17 billion.
Drop in both exports and imports
Greek exports fell 12.2% in November, on a decline of 7.5% in the 11 months from January to November 2023, though their value exceeded 47 billion euros, the second-highest ever recorded.

Foreign trade deficit shrinks 33 percent
Türkiye's foreign trade deficit declined by 32.6 percent in November from a year ago to $5.92 billion, the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) have shown.
Exports climbed 5.2 percent year-on-year to $23 billion, while imports were down 5.7 percent compared with November 2022 to $28.9 billion.

Bulgaria and Turkey Collaborate to Strengthen Border Security
In a proactive move to bolster security along their shared border, Bulgaria and Turkey have initiated a joint project aimed at enhancing law enforcement capacities and cooperation. The endeavor, funded through the 2021-2027 Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria-Turkey Cross-border Cooperation Programme, has been announced by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
