No production model change

The trade balance of agri-food products was in surplus in three of the last four years (2020, 2021 and 2023), a positive development, but not sufficient to change the sign from negative to positive in the overall trade balance.

Exports and imports decline in March: Trade Ministry

Türkiye's exports fell by 4.1 percent to $22.6 billion, while the annual decline in imports was 5.7 percent to $30.1 billion in March, data from the Trade Ministry has shown.

Consequently, the country's foreign trade deficit came in at $7.5 billion last month, shrinking by 10.3 percent from March 2023.

Exports rise nearly 4 pct to $20 billion in January

Türkiye's exports increased by 3.6 percent in January from a year ago to more than $20 billion, the data from the Trade Ministry have shown.

Imports were down 22 percent compared to the first month of last year to $26.2 billion.

The country's foreign trade deficit shrank 56.8 percent year-on-year to $6.17 billion.
