Romania's seven-month trade deficit at almost 13 bln euros
Romania's FOB/CIF seven-month trade balance deficit widened to 12.864 billion euros, by 2.858 million euros more from the year-ago period, as imports advanced 25.4 percent and exports 24.8 percent, according to data released on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS). January - July FOB exports totaled 42.511 billion euros, and CIF imports stood at 55.376 billion euros.
Ready-wear apparel exporters enjoy strong demand
Turkey's ready wear and confection exporters are working at nearly full capacity to meet strong demand stemming from recovery in the industry's export markets.
From January to July, the sector's shipments to foreign markets grew by a robust 27 percent on an annual basis to climb more than $11.1 billion.

NIJZ outsourcing coronavirus contact tracing
Ljubljana – The National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) has decided to outsource some of the contact tracing to a private company, City Connect. The six-month deal is worth almost EUR 2.3 million, or EUR 1.86 million without VAT, the business newspaper Finance reported on Monday.

Slovenia’s goods exports in June up 21% year-on-year
Ljubljana, 9 August – Slovenia exported EUR 3.3 billion in goods in June, which is 21% more year-on-year, while imports were up by 30.6% to EUR 3.4 billion, the Statistics Office reported on Monday.
In June, a deficit in trade was recorded for a third month in a row, standing at EUR 100 million, with exports covering imports at a rate of 97.5%.
Steel exports reach $9.2 bln in first half of 2021
Turkey's steel imports hit $9.2 billion in the first half of this year, according to the Aegean Exporters Association (EİB) figures.
Israel was Turkey's top market for steel exports with a total of $580 million. Spain ($568 million) and Italy ($537 million) followed it.

Bulgaria's Total Exports Increase by 19%, Imports by 23%
In the period January - May 2021, goods worth a total of BGN 26,355.3m were exported from Bulgaria, which is 19.4% more than in the same period of 2020, according to preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute. In May 2021 the total exports of goods amounted to BGN 5,084.7m and increased by 32.3% compared to the same month of the previous year.
Turkish exports break records in June, first half of year
Turkey saw record high exports in both June and the first half of 2021 thanks to the country's strong performance since the beginning of this year, the trade minister announced on July 2.
Turkish exports reached $19.8 billion in June, up 47% from the same month last year, Mehmet Muş said, citing preliminary foreign trade figures.
