A 51-year-old man sustained severe injuries after being shot during an altercation at the Lakka port on the Ionian island of Paxos late Wednesday.

Public broadcaster ERT reported that the victim, identified as an Albanian national, was initially taken to the Paxos Health Center.

Three men suspected of a robbery spree against churches on the Ionian island of Kefalonia were arrested on Monday at the western Greek port of Killini, the Hellenic Police said in an announcement on Tuesday.

Transavia will start operating twice-weekly direct flights from Paris to the island of Cephalonia from April, it was announced during a special event held at Pavillon Elysee.
