‘Appodixi’ whistleblowers not getting paid

Taxpayers may prove to be the best allies of the Independent Authority of Public Revenue (AADE) in curbing tax evasion, but those who have so far scanned receipts through the Appodixi app on their cellphones and pinpointed tax evasion are not going to get a cash prize, as the draft law does not include a retroactive effect to the measure.

Beaches on Naxos hastily emptied of furniture

Amid fears of imminent inspections and the threat of legal consequences, the idyllic beaches of Plaka, Agia Anna and Agios Prokopios on the Cycladic island of Naxos were emptied of sunbeds and beach furniture. 

The move practically implies that there were either no permits or there were huge violations of the leases.

Apple targeted by $1 bln class action lawsuit in UK

U.S. tech giant Apple is being targeted by a class action lawsuit seeking over $1 billion in damages from developers angry about the high price it charges to market apps to users of its products, organizers said yesterday.

The lawsuit was launched by competition professor Sean Ennis at the University of East Anglia on behalf of 1,500 British app developers.
