Iranian nuclear program deal far from completion

The world’s great powers and Iran are unlikely to finalize the framework of an agreement over the Iranian nuclear program within the next few days, since both sides disagree on many things.

 

A European negotiator stated that Iranians may support that 90% of the agreement is complete, however, that is untrue.

The US hunkered down Tuesday with Iran for crunch talks while warning that key disagreements remain ahead of a March 31 deadline to agree the outlines of a major nuclear deal.
      
"There is no way around it, we still have a ways to go," a senior US official involved in the talks in the Swiss lakeside city of Lausanne said Tuesday.
      

John Kerry hopeful on reaching nuke agreement with Iran

US Secretary of State John Kerry expressed his hopefulness that a temporary agreement with Iran will be reached in the next few days, if Tehran manages to prove that their nuclear program is meant to be used for peaceful purposes.

 

Speaking on the day before new talks with Iran begin talking place in Switzerland, Kerry appeared hopeful on said agreement.

Kerry says unclear whether nuclear deal with Iran within reach

On the eve of fresh talks with Iran, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said it was unclear whether an interim agreement over its nuclear power program was within reach. 

"I can't tell you whether or not we can get a deal, whether we are close," Kerry told a news conference on March 14 in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, where he attended an Egyptian investment summit.
