Roads closed in northern Greece as snow makes its way south
A number of roads in northern Greece closed on Monday after temperatures dropped below zero and snow fell in many parts.
The cold snap is expected to descend on Attica by Monday afternoon, with snow expected in some parts of Athens.
The freezing weather is accompanied by gale force winds in the Aegean.
Snow on the way as temperatures set to fall
Weather conditions are set to deteriorate this week with the National Meteorological Service (EMY) forecasting strong winds, snowfall and storms, across much of the country.
Temperatures are set to plunge by up to 10 degrees Celsius early in the week with the cold snap expected to continue at least through Tuesday.

Severe frost expected in coming days
BELGRADE -- Temperatures in Serbia will be dropping as low as -20 degrees Celsius in some areas in the coming days, forecasters have warned.
The weather on Wednesday, the last day of the year, will be overcast and very cold, with weak snow, and clear in the north, the state meteorological authority, RHMZ, has announced.

Parliament to discuss media bills on Wednesday
BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament will on Wednesday start debating three media bills whereby the state would withdraw from ownership in media companies by July 2015 and the ownership structure would become transparent, with the public interest defined and media pluralism protected.
