ISIL downs warplane over Syria, claims capture of Jordanian pilot
The Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL) on Sept. 24 shot down a warplane from the U.S.-led coalition over northern Syria, a monitoring group said, with the jihadists claiming to have captured a Jordanian pilot.

Boxing legend Muhammad Ali's condition is improving and he is expected to be released from hospital soon, his spokesman said on Dec. 22.
Bob Gunnell said two days ago when Ali was admitted to hospital, that the 72-year-old's pneumonia condition was caught early and his stay would be a short one.

A new video from Nigeria's home-grown Boko Haram extremists shows gunmen mowing down civilians lying face down in a dorm, and a leader saying they are being killed because they are "infidels" or non-believers.
There are so many corpses the gunmen have difficulty stepping to reach bodies still twitching with life. Most appear to be adult men.

Germany plans trauma centre for ISIL rape victims: minister
A German government minister said Monday Berlin aimed to set up a trauma centre for victims of a mass rape campaign by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
Overseas development minister Gerd Mueller told the Bild newspaper that the care facility in Germany could serve 100 women and girls from Syria and Iraq.
