Islamic State – Khorasan Province

The terrorist group known as the "Islamic State" has issued a threat against the upcoming quarter-finals of the Champions League. The ominous warning was delivered through a propaganda publication, Al-Azaim, affiliated with the "Islamic State - Khorasan Province".

Russia announced its efforts to remove the Taliban from its list of banned terrorist organizations. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated on Tuesday that there are crucial matters to address with Afghanistan's Taliban leadership, emphasizing the need for dialogue due to the Taliban's de facto authority in the country, Reuters reported.

A Taliban official says a bombing at a mosque and religious school in northern Afghanistan on Friday killed at least 33 people, including students of a religious school.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban's deputy culture and information minister, said the bombing in the town of Imam Saheb, in Kunduz Province, also wounded another 43 people, many of them students.

A Taliban military commander was killed when his men responded to an ISIL suicide bomb and gun attack on a hospital in the Afghan capital, officials said on Nov. 3.

The Taliban spent 20 years waging an insurgency against the ousted U.S.-backed government before seizing control of Kabul in August.
