Health personnel went on strike on March 13 in various cities across Turkey a day before national Doctor's Day, demanding better working conditions, better wages, policies to improve the quality of medical education, and equal and free medical services to all citizens.

Istanbul Municipality approves Bosphorus tunnel mega-project
A three-level, sub-sea tunnel project, was recently announced by Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu, has been approved by the Istanbul Municipality.
Supported by a joint report by the Development and Public Works Commission and the Transportation and Traffic Commission, the project was the main issue on the municipal council's agenda on March 11.
