Women caught on camera while stealing aid money for families of Soma victims

A security camera has caught two women in Istanbul stealing a donation box that was placed to raise aid money for the families of mine workers who died in the Soma disaster last month.

‘The Song of Nature’ comes to city

The 42nd Istanbul Music Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), opened June 1 with a ceremony at the Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Hall. For the opening, the Borusan Children’s Choir, under the baton of Gürsen Yavuzkal, performed a short concert. Man found dead in Istanbul’s Gezi Park two days after eventful anniversary

A 27-year-old man was found dead in Istanbul’s Gezi Park on June 2, sparking speculation on Turkish social media two days after the eventful anniversary of the Gezi Park protests.

Passersby called the police when they noticed the man, identified as Tuğrul Tunalı, lying on the grass.
