Türkiye says it won’t recognize Crimea annexation
Türkiye has reiterated that it won't recognize Russia's annexation of Crimea and underlined its support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The Foreign Ministry issued a written statement "Regarding the Tenth Anniversary of the Illegal Annexation of Crimea" on March 16.

Erdoğan backs Ukraine's territorial integrity against Crimea annexation
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has reaffirmed Türkiye's stance against the annexation of Crimea by Russia and pledged solidarity with Ukraine's territorial integrity.
"We express in every platform, especially in the United Nations, that Crimea is a part of Ukraine," Erdoğan stated on Aug. 23, speaking via a video message to attendees of the Third Crimea Platform Summit in Kiev.
Are the Russians planning a disaster?

Russia detains some 12 Turkish fishermen off Crimea
Some 12 Turkish fishermen, who sailed from Istanbul to Crimea to fish turbots, have been detained by the Russian Navy, the daily Milliyet has reported.
"Fishermen in two boats went to Crimea and caught around 1,500 turbots in a week and were nabbed on May 18 during their voyage back to Turkey," the daily wrote on May 27.
