Graphic novel about Slovenia’s poet laureate released
Kranj – Ahead of Culture Day the Gorenjska Museum released a comic book about Slovenia’s most prominent poet, France Prešeren (1800-1849), authored by the museum’s consultant Magda Zore and painter Jože Trobec.
The comic, titled Comic Book about Prešeren, captures the life of the acclaimed poet who elevated the Slovenian poetry to the heights of established Romantic verse.
Scientific vaudeville to explore human evolution, fate
The goal was to "create a clever, entertaining and educational artwork about evolution, space and our place in it," Buljan was quoted as saying by Cankarjev Dom.
According to the head of the theatre and modern dance section at Cankarjev Dom, Andrej Jaklič, the co-production between the SNG Drama Ljubljana theatre, the MGL theatre and Cankarjev Dom is exceptional in many ways.
Renovated Tivoli cultural hotspot to open this summer
The name "Švicarija" comes from a summer house in the Swiss style that was built on the site in the mid-19th century by order of Czech field marshal Josef Radetzky, the master of the nearby Tivoli Catle.
