Today we mark the International Theater Day.
The date March 27 was elected in 1961 at the 19th Congress of the International Theater Institute at UNESCO, and was associated with the opening of the 1962 Nationale Theater in Paris.

Competition Fails to Select Director of Bulgaria's National Theatre
The competition for the appointment of a new director of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia failed to select one of the two participating candidates.
The website of the culture ministry informed that none of the two candidates for the position, namely Kamen Kostov and Filip Trifonov, had managed to garner the required minimum number of points.
Bulgarian Actress Tanya Masalitinova Dies at 92
Prominent Bulgarian actress Tanya Masalitinova has died at the age of 92.
Masalitinova was born in Prague in 1921, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Television.
Her father, Nikolay Masalitinov, was an eminent actor and director.
She graduated from a foreign language high school in Sofia.
