Slovenian army to test, train on Pipistrel aircraft

Ajdovščina – Slovenian military pilots are to train on and test aircraft produced by the light aircraft maker Pipistrel under an agreement signed by the Defence Ministry and the Ajdovščina-based company. A special partnership has also been agreed on that includes efforts to obtain EU and NATO funds for development projects.

Pipistrel developing uncrewed commercial aircraft for Chinese

Ajdovščina – The Slovenian aircraft producer Pipistrel has entered a partnership with a Chinese logistics company to develop a large uncrewed commercial aircraft that will be able to carry more than 300 kg of cargo to the distance of 500 kilometres and altitude of 6,000 m.

Pipistrel enters partnership with C-Astral to upgrade NUUVA v20 planes

Ajdovščina – Pipistrel, a Slovenian ultra light plane developer, has paired up with another hi-tech Slovenian company, C-Astral Aerospace, as its main industrial and development partner to work on expanding its NUUVA v20 unmanned cargo plane beyond cargo transport.

The NUUVA V20 was originally designed to transport cargo, such as spare parts, high-value items or medicinal devices.

Pipistrel with best business year so far despite pandemic

Ajdovščina – The Ajdovščina-based ultralight aircraft maker Pipistrel did great last year despite the Covid-19 pandemic. The company saw best financial results so far, Pipistrel director and co-owner Ivo Boscarol has told the STA. The 2020 net profit will be used for numerous new investments this year, including in China, he announced.

Hydrogen-powered Hy4 aircraft makes successful virgin flight

Ajdovščina – A hydrogen-powered hybrid-electric four-seater aircraft, developed in a project headed by the Slovenian ultralight aircraft maker Pipistrel, has made a successful virgin flight.

Announcing the news, Pipistrel Vertical Solutions called the Hy4’s flight a “landmark milestone for the MAHEPA project and for the future of clean aviation”.
