The court failed to proceed with the case against former finance minister, Simeon Dyankov, former minister of the economy Traicho Traikov, businessman Ivo Prokopiev, the Executive Director of investment intermediary "Bulbrokers", Radoslav Rachev, and two of his employees, reports BNT. 

The co-publisher of Dnevnik and Capital Ivo Prokopiev insists that an international prosecutor or at least an international observer should be involved in the investigations of publishers in Bulgaria.

Bulgaria has frozen assets, property and bank accounts belonging to businessman and media owner Ivo Prokopiev, who said the state was trying to silence the country's independent media.

The Bulgarian Commission for the Withdrawal of Illegal Assets, CIAF, has frozen the assets of Ivo Prokopiev, one of the founders and owners of Economedia - one of the largest media groups in the country, the publisher of the weekly newspaper Capital and news website dnevnik.bg, as well as other print and online outlets.

Around hundred people dressed in white T-shirts with the inscription "Bulgartabac" positioned themselves in front of the offices of the online editions of "Dnevnik" and "Capital" this morning and blocked Ivan Vazov Street as part of a protest in downtown Sofia this morning, say from Dnevnik. 

The former ministers of energy and finance, Traicho Traikov and Simeon Dyankov from Borissov 1 cabinet, as well as businessman Ivo Prokopiev will be brought to court today. 

The purpose of Simeon Dyankov was for the company Bulbrokers to benefit and receive BGN 1,276,680, announced the spokesperson of the Prosecutor General Rumyana Arnaudova at a briefing.

Former Finance Minister in the first cabinet of Boyko Borisov was indicted on charges of abuse of office on Friday in relation to the prisatization of the electricity distribution venture EVN.

The deal with the minority package of the two ventures of the electricity distribution company EVN-Bulgaria was made on the stock exchange at market prices. The investment broker was selected via a competition because of the lowest price offered, announced to journalists the chairwoman of the Commission on Protection of Competition Yulia Nenkova, cited by BTA.

Bulgaria's Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) MP Delyan Peevski was summoned for questioning by the Sofia Investigative Service.

Peevski spent over 2 hours in the Sofia City Prosecution on Tuesday, where he was called up on two different issues.
