The Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has captured Abdullah al-Jundi, an ISIL ringleader who was preparing an attack against Turkish security forces in the Euphrates Shield and Olive Branch Operation areas.

The Defense Ministry on July 30 reported that 12 PKK/YPG terrorists have been neutralized in northern Syria during a military operation in the region.

Security forces have "neutralized" 16 PKK terrorists in northern Syria, the Defense Ministry said on June 15.

"Our Turkish Armed Forces have neutralized an additional 16 terrorists, targeting the terrorist nests in the Tel Rifaat and Manbij regions. Mehmetçik [Turkish soldiers] continues to destroy the terror dens," the ministry said in a social media statement.

Security forces have "neutralized" 41 PKK/YPG terrorists in northern Syria, the Defense Ministry said on June 14.

"Our heroic Turkish Armed Forces have neutralized an additional 41 terrorists, targeting the terrorist nests in the Tel Rifaat and Manbij regions. We will continue to bury these terrorists in the very pits they have dug," the ministry said in a post on social media.

The foundations of 5,000 residences were laid on May 24 in the Jarabulus district of Aleppo within the scope of a Turkish government project carried out in terror-free zones in Syria for the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland.

Turkish security forces have neutralized seven PKK terrorists in the Operation Euphrates Shield and Operation Claw-Lock zones, the Defense Ministry has announced.

In a social media post, the ministry informed that four PKK terrorists were neutralized in the Operation Claw-Lock zone in Iraq's north.

A total of six PKK/YPG terrorists have been neutralized in the Operation Euphrates Shield zone, the Turkish Defense Ministry has announced.

"There is no escape from the end that awaits them for the terrorists. The operations will continue without any interruption," the ministry said in a social media post.

Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has stressed that recent studies show around 70 percent of refugees, including Syrians, are willing to return home if security conditions are well provided.

Following Ankara's announcement of an upcoming military incursion in northern Syria, the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army has deployed some 5,000 armed men in the region to act with the Turkish army to clear Tal Rifaat and Manbij provinces of PKK/YPG terrorists.

"We can take Tal Rifaat in 24 hours with Turkish soldiers," SNA commanders said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Turkish army has started hitting some PKK/YPG targets in northern Syria's Tal Rifaat and Manbij districts with cannon fire as the preparations for an upcoming crossover military operation, aimed to be conducted for safe return of some 500,000 Syrians, are ongoing.
