Slovenia remains in yellow tier of Covid restrictions

Ljubljana- Slovenia formally remains in tier yellow of coronavirus restrictions, despite meeting the conditions for the green tier, where most restrictions would be lifted. The current regime will remain in place until 6 June, save for some changes to rules governing the convention industry, the government decided on Wednesday.

Persons helping Croatia post-quake not subjected to Covid-19 protocols

Govt extends epidemic, reopens libraries and museums in some regions

Ljubljana – The government has formally extended the epidemic by another 30 days beginning with 18 December, government Covid-19 spokesman Jelko Kacin said on Wednesday evening. Museums, libraries and galleries have been given the go-ahead to reopen in regions with the best epidemiological status.

Lockdown extended for another week, public transport on hold for two more

Ljubljana – The government decided on Thursday to extend by a week all of the main lockdown measures, including the ban on gatherings, in-class schooling, movement among municipalities and the 9pm-6am curfew. Public transport will remain closed and the current mask wearing regime, which includes masks outdoors, will stay in place for at least two more weeks.

Russia accused of interfering in Montenegro's affairs

The Russian Duma is interfering in the internal affairs of Montenegro, Slovenian ambassador to NATO Jelko Kacin has said.

Kacin in this way reacted to the Russian stance mentioned by officials during a meeting in Moscow with representatives of Montenegro's opposition Democratic Front, that Montenegro should adopt the Swiss model of neutrality.

EP rapporteur arrives in Belgrade on Thursday

BRUSSELS - European Parliament rapporteur on Serbia David Mcallister will start his first official visit to Serbia on Thursday, the German parliament member's office has told Tanjug.

McAllister, who took over from Jelko Kacin last month, will stay in Serbia for three days and meet the country's top officials, leaders of political parties and officials of the civil society.
