Italian virtuoso violinist Domenico Nordio and his partner on the piano, Orazio Sciortino, are performing at the Athens Concert Hall (megaron.gr) for a single night on February 1.

Two respected Greek pianists, Vassilis Varvaresos and Alexia Mouza, will perform a recital as part of the Athens Concert Hall's online program on Wednesday, January 13. The pair will play Brahms' Variations on a Theme by Haydn, Rachmaninov's Suite No 2, Opus 17, and Gershwin's "Porgy and Bess" Fantasy for Two Pianos. The Athens Philharmonia Orchestra will perform three fine works by representatives of the Second Viennese School accompanied by piano duo Beata Pincetic and Christos Sakellaridis at the Athens Concert Hall under the direction of Byron Fidetzis on Monday, November 18. The works to be performed on the night are Anton Webern's Passacaglia, Op.

The string quartet of the Athens State Orchestra will be performing works by Bach, Beethoven and Brahms in the stunning setting of the Acropolis Museum's Parthenon Gallery from 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31. Admission to the event is free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

Japanese-American violinist Ryu Goto (photo) and the Athens State Orchestra led by Christoph Poppen will perform works by Mendelssohn, Paganini and Brahms at the Athens Concert Hall on Friday, May 13. Prices for tickets range from 10 to 25 euros (5 euros reduced). Starts at 8.30 p.m. while an introductory talk for ticket-holders will take place at 7.45 p.m.
