Romanian Foreign Affairs Minister Titus Corlatean will participate today in Vienna, together with his Austrian counterpart Sebastian Kurz, in the opening of the third edition of the Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), the most important annual event of the Strategy, the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) informs.

EU commissioner tours flood-hit town

BELGRADE -- EU Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn over the weekend visited the flood-devastated municipality of Obrenovac and met with Serbian officials.

BELGRADE - European Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn said in Belgrade Saturday that the EU treats Serbia as a member state and will do anything to show that and help Serbia in the difficult situation caused by the recent heavy flooding in the country.

The European Commission and Greece agreed on Friday on how 26 billion euros of structural and investment funds will be used between 2014 and 2020.

“The new National Strategic Reference Framework [NSRF] can act as a catalyst for growth at a crucial time for the country,” said Development Minister Costis Hatzidakis.

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, who is also foreign minister, will on Wednesday head a government delegation visiting Brussels, where he will meet with the European Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn.
