EU supports Serbia's education system with EUR 27.4mn

An agreement was signed in Brussels on Wednesday on the support of the European Union to the education system of Serbia worth 27.4 million euros.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Serbian Minister of EU Integration Jadranka Joksimovic and EU Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn.

Pacoli to meet with Hahn, Mogherini in Brussels

BRUSSELS - Kosovo Deputy PM Bedzet Pacoli will be visiting Brussels at the end of the week to speak with EU enlargement commissioner Johannes Hahn and foreign policy and security chief Federica Mogherini.

Tanjug's sources in the European Commission say the meetings would mostly focus on the EU's relations with Kosovo, visa liberalisation and the dialogue with Belgrade.

EU To Provide Funds To Serbia's Educational System

The European Commission and Serbia have signed an agreement to provide the EU candidate country with 27.4 million euros in assistance for its education system.

Speaking at the signing ceremony in Brussels on September 27, the EU's enlargement commissioner, Johannes Hahn, said that the money will help the Serbian education system to adapt to labor market needs.

BELGRADE - Serbia is "not so easily discouraged," PM Ana Brnabic told a press conference with EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn Friday.

Brnabic was responding to a question whether an announced EU strategy - which sees Serbia join the EU by 2025 - was discouraging in light of prior announcements that this might happen by 2020.
