Novi Sad inventor wins European award

NOVI SAD - Stefan Velja, a young inventor from Novi Sad, won the Gold Medal for Young Inventors at the Brussels Eureka competition, Novi Sad Radio 021 reports.

His patent, a stent used for catching and breaking up blood clots, was presented at the International Exhibition of Invention, Research and New Technologies 'Eureka 2014' held in Brussels on November 13-15.

Serbian programmers win four medals at Balkan Olympiad

BELGRADE - Serbian high school students won two gold and two bronze medals at the 22nd Balkan Olympiad in Informatics, held from August 10 to 17 in Ankara, Turkey.

The Serbian team won the second place overall at this year's Balkan Olympiad, which gathered a total of 46 participants from 12 countries.
