Turkey imposed a four-day nationwide curfew during the Muslim Eid holiday beginning May 22 midnight to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic that has claimed over 4,200 lives in the country.

Turkey to allow Friday prayers mid-June
Friday prayers will be allowed under certain restrictions starting June 12, Ali Erbaş, the head of the country's Religious Affairs Presidency (Diyanet) has said.
Turkey on March 16 suspended mass prayers in mosques until the risks from coronavirus outbreak are over.
"We will be able to perform Friday prayers in the yards of the mosques," Erbaş said in a televised interview.

Turkish military personnel to get regulation for time off for Friday prayers
The Turkish Chief of General Staff has announced that necessary measures will be taken to ensure time off for Friday prayers for military personnel.
The Chief of Staff has issued a circular to related institutions in line with a recent legal change allowing public servants to attend Friday prayers without interrupting office hours.
