Brnabic, Juncker discuss EC strategy, Serbia's activities

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker discussed in Belgrade on Tuesday the EC's enlargement strategy and Serbia's future activities on the EU path.

Brnabic noted the adoption of the strategy was an encouraging message to the entire Western Balkan region.

The European Union remains strongly committed to the European perspective for the countries of the Western Balkans, the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said on 1st of March after the working meeting in Sofia with the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and the leaders of the countries in the region.

Today, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will be on a working visit to Bulgaria. He will meet with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and will attend a meeting with the heads of state and government of the Western Balkan countries.

EC president and EU commissioner arrive in Belgrade

Juncker and Hahn will later on Monday evening speak with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, followed by a joint news conference by Vucic and Juncker, and a joint dinner.

Serbian EU Integrations Minister Jadranka Joksimovic and head of EU's Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi welcomed the two high ranking EU officials at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport this afternoon.
