Kosovo President Hashim Thaci held consultative meetings with political leaders on Wednesday as he pushes for the formation of a unity government following the March 25 no-confidence vote in the government of Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

In this endeavour, Thaci is believed to have secured support US President Donald Trump's envoy for Serbia-Kosovo peace negotiations, Richard Grenell. A man of many titles - he is also the acting Director of National Intelligence and the US ambassador to Germany - Grenell has denied that the partition of Kosovo has been discussed in secret as part of the rumoured peace deal.

The presidency of the Kosovo parliament will meet on Tuesday to consider the no-confidence motion against the government of Albin Kurti initiated by the junior partner in his coalition government, the Democratic League of Kosovo, LDK - which looks increasingly likely to pass.

After his invitation for interview as a suspect, Haradinaj, a former KLA commander, resigned as premier in July.

He has already been tried twice by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague and was acquitted both times, and he insisted that the Specialist Chambers would not undermine the KLA's legacy.

Rexhep Selimi, who served at the Kosovo Liberation Army's headquarters during the 1998-99 war against Serbian forces, announced on Sunday that he has been invited for an interview as a suspect by the Hague-based prosecutors.

However, he did not specify the nature of the allegations against him.

The mayor of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci, announced on Friday that he has received an invitation to be interviewed by the Kosovo Specialist Prosecution in The Hague, which is investigating alleged violations by Kosovo Liberation Army, KLA fighters during and just after the 1998-99 war.

Rama posted on Twitter that no matter how unfair the Special Court Tribunal's invitation to the KLA members was, there is nothing left but to speak the truth based on the war of a nation.
Rama claims that without the Kosovo Liberation Army, the people of Kosovo would still be denied the right.
