The Eco-Ministry: There is No Pollution from "Nova Kakhovka" in the Bulgarian part of the Black Sea

There is no pollution in the Bulgarian part of the Black Sea as a result of Russia's destruction of the wall of the Nova Kakhovka dam in Ukraine. This was announced by the Ministry of Environment and Water at a press conference in Varna. The conclusion is based on research by the Institute of Oceanology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

The excavations are conducted under the scientific guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boni Petrunova, Director of the National Museum of History. She has been exploring the medieval maritime capital of Bulgaria since 2004. The financing of the excavations in 2019 is from the Ministry of Culture and from the Kavarna Municipality.

Mostly Sunny Today, with Increase in Clouds From West to East

It will be mostly sunny today, with some increase in clouds from west to east, Krasimir Stoev of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology told Focus News Agency. Isolated showers in the western part of the country only.

Construction will be Prohibited on Bolata Beach, Northeast Bulgaria

Bulgarian Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov handed to the mayor of Kavarna Nina Stavreva an order with which ''Bolata'' beach is removed from the reservation ''Kaliakra''. It will be included in the "Stepite" protected area, which is a guarantee that construction will be prohibited.

Five Children Ended up in Hospital after an Explosion in Dobrich

Five children were injured yesterday after an explosion in front of a residential block of the former student hostels in Dobrich. The incident took place at 17.00 on Kaliakra Str. Three of the injured children were placed in a hospital in Dobrich without danger to their life; a fourth child was transported to the specialized eye clinic in Varna.
