Vitriol attack motive was jealousy, probe suggests
Greek police on Thursday were questioning a female suspect believed to be behind an acid attack last month on a 34-year-old woman in Kallithea, southern Athens.
The 35-year-old woman, who faces criminal charges of attempted manslaughter, was being questioned in connection with the vicious attack but has reportedly not admitted to the charges.

Woman in Kallithea was attacked with vitriol, lab exam shows
The caustic substance that was splashed over a 34-year-old woman during an assault in southern Athens last week was identified at the State General Laboratory as sulphuric acid (vitriol), police sources told state-run news agency ANA-MPA on Monday.
Athens woman injured in possible acid attack
A 34-year-old woman in Athens suffered severe burns to her face when a woman sneaked up on her as she was heading to work in the district of Kallithea on Wednesday morning and splashed her with a caustic substance, police sources cited by state-run news agency ANA-MPA said Monday.
The suspect, who was wearing a face mask, fled after the attack.
