Some 10,000 rental homes to be built in Istanbul
Preparations are in the final stage to launch a project that is designed to address the growing housing problem in Istanbul by developing 10,000 rental homes.
The Real Estate Investors Association (GYODER) in July first floated the idea of devising a new model to increase home supply in the country's largest city.

Hatay’s revitalization project to conclude in March
An international team of experts from various disciplines will complete a project on the revitalization of the quake-hit southern province of Hatay, especially its city center, in March, with the group taking into account not only the physical aspects but also the "spirit of the city and the emotions of the earthquake survivors."

Historical Vaniköy Mosque, destroyed in fire, restored
The 358-year-old Vaniköy Mosque in Istanbul's Üsküdar district, destroyed by the fire in 2020, has been restored.
The historical Vaniköy Mosque, one of the 11 mosques adorning the Bosphorus, was reduced to ash on Nov. 15, 2020.
The mosque was restored with the support of Mehmet Kalyoncu, chairman of the Kalyon Foundation, who lives in the Vaniköy region.
Abu Dhabi’s IHC takes 50 pct stake in Kalyon Enerji
International Holding Company (IHC), the diversified Abu Dhabi-based conglomerate, has announced the acquisition of a 50 percent stake in Turkish clean energy firm Kalyon Enerji for AED 1.8 billion (around $490 million) through its subsidiary International Energy Holding.
Kalyon Enerji is owned by Kalyon Holding, which operates in the construction, energy and aviation industries.
Kalyon inks $812 mln deal for mega project
Kalyon Enerji, the developer of the largest solar facility in Turkey, on Nov. 30 signed a $812 million loan agreement with six Turkish banks, U.S. lender JPMorgan Chase & Co and U.K. Export Finance (UKEF).
