600 Armed Military to Protect the Border Between Turkey and Bulgaria

Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov has said that in the future Bulgaria is going to use its army to guard its border with Turkey, reported bTV. 

The border between the two states will be divided into five zones and will be protected by 600 armed military, Karakachanov explained.

Bulgaria Wants More Serious Funding for EU Battlegroups

At a Brussels-held sitting of the Foreign Affairs (Defense) Council of the EU Bulgarian Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov declared that Sofia wanted the expansion of the range of the common funding for the EU battlegroups vie including the expenses for their deployment too with the purpose of a fairer distribution of the burden between all the member-states, reported the Bulgarian Natio

GERB - United Patriots Мeeting Held in Sofia

GERB party, which won the early parliamentary elections in Bulgaria and the United Patriots coalition - National Front for the Salvation of Bulgaria, VMRO and Ataka - held a meeting in Sofia, according to BNR.

After the meeting, VMRO leader Krasimir Karakachanov commented that there are no negotiations on the formation of a new cabinet as yet and that such talks are yet to be held.

United Patriots, Volya To Insist on Own Ministers in Cabinet Negotiations

GERB have not invited other formations for negotiations on the forming of a cabinet yet.

The coalition United Patriots and the party Volya of businessman Veselin Mareshki are already adamant that, if they are made an offer to support the new government, they will insist on having their own ministers.
