Eight years after the flood in Varna's "Asparuhovo" district in June 2014, when hundreds of people from all over the country flocked to clear away the silt and mud that poured down after heavy raining that claimed 13 lives, the miracle of volunteerism is on its way to be repeated in Karlovo region.

"There are data on at least 10 border police officers involved in various schemes for illegal passage of migrants into Bulgaria". This was stated by the Acting Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Demerdzhiev in Plovdiv.

He also added that there are doubts about other colleagues, but they have no evidence about them.

"The state will allocate funds to help victims of the floods in Karlovo region. There will not be a single person left that was affected who will not be helped", stated acting Prime Minister Galab Donev during a visit to the village of Karavelovo.
