Swiatek dedicates victory to ‘suffering Ukraine’
Poland's Iga Swiatek swept aside Anett Kontaveit in the Qatar Open final on Feb. 26 and dedicated her victory to "the people who are suffering in Ukraine."
Former French Open champion Swiatek, seeded seven, needed just over an hour to see off the fourth-seeded Estonian.

Halep overpowers Rybakina to win Dubai title
World No. 2 and top seed Simona Halep won on Saturday the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, as she defeated Kazakhstan's 20-year-old sensation Elena Rybakina in the final 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5). This is Halep's second Dubai title after her triumph five years ago against Karolina Pliskova, and her 20th career championship.

Halep, 28, world number 5, has managed to prevail in two hours and 34 minutes, in a match with dramatic overtones, at times.
Simona Halep, impressive qualification for Miami semis (WTA)
The Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, 2nd seed, has impressively qualified for the semifinals of the Miami WTA 9,035,428 USD tournament (Florida/USA), after defeating on Wednesday the Chinese Qiang Wang, 6-4 7-5. Halep (27 y/o, WTA #3) closed the match in one hour and 38 minutes, and if qualified for the final she will resume her WTA 1st spot.
Simona Halep wins Heart Award at Fed Cup
The Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, world number three, won the Heart Award on Monday after her remarkable victory in the Czech Republic Fed Cup first round, according to the official website of the competition. Halep had their counter-candidates, following the World and World Group II matches, Latvian Anastasija Sevastova, Spanish Georgina Garcia-Perez and Australian Ashleigh Barty.
