Pakistani PM resigns over Panama papers verdict
Nawaz Sharif has resigned as prime minister of Pakistan following a decision by the country’s Supreme Court to disqualify him from office.
The ruling came after a probe into his family’s wealth following the 2015 Panama Papers dump linking Mr Sharif’s children to offshore companies.
Mr Sharif has consistently denied any wrongdoing in the case.

Pakistan: Supreme Court Removes PM From Office

Pakistan's Supreme Court ruled to remove Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from office following a nearly year-long corruption investigation into his family, local media reported Friday.
"Supreme Court of Pakistan has disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Papers case verdict. Justice Ejaz Afzal announced the decision," The Times of Islamabad wrote.
